Volunteering

The support and active involvement of the people and communities of the Black Country will ensure the success of Black Country Living Landscape. Through its focus on local sites within easy reach where people live, Black Country Living Landscape offers a unique opportunity for everyone to get actively involved with their environment. With tens of thousands of volunteer activities planned over the next few years you will be able take part no matter what your age, where you live.

You can help Black Country Living Landscape by getting involved. You could:

  • Take part in volunteer conservation work
  • Set up support or ‘friends of’ groups for your local greenspace
  • Suggest green sites for improvement, including school grounds
  • Run healthy walks or ‘green gyms’ near to where you live
  • Establish community allotments
  • Take part in arts projects
  • Encourage your council or employer to get involved
  • Help spread the word
